A few years ago a large flat screen with a nice surround sound system used to be the epitome of ‘Home cinema' systems. Rapid advances in technology and also a more discerning client, in an ever changing financial climate, has meant that in today's terms this type of home cinema really is in fact only very impressive, glorified, big-screen TV.

When clients ask us to design and build home cinemas we show them what can truly be achieved. In our opinion a true home cinema should always be more than the sum of its parts; each film it shows needs to satisfy your every need for an immersive suspension of disbelief that closely recreates the experience as it was originally intended by the director.

Instead of bashing out designs based simply on initial requirements, we look at how and what these requirements are and how they affect the room, the system, and ultimately the design of a cinema, before we go ahead and specify any electronics or design. 

Reverse engineering from professional cinema and studio standards means that our designs adhere first and foremost to industry standards, whist meeting and exceeding our clients’ requirements - and as such, giving them exactly what they want - a true home cinema in their own home. 

This is a service which we offer our clients regardless of whether the cinema is going to be part of the lounge, even maybe disappear at the touch of a button, or if it’s a full blown extra room dedicated to every technological whim.

We use cutting edge technology in the form of Acoustically transparent projection screens; allowing you to place your speakers behind the 'picture' exactly as Hollywood intended, we use the latest video formats - High Definition, Blu-Ray, Anamorphic lenses, Cinemascope are common terms in our vocabulary, and should you wish to show off, just a little, we supply the best of the best in the form of Cineversum Projectors and Anamorphic attachments (these remove those pesky black bars!!) as well as the amazing Artcoustic loudspeakers, which look like paintings but perform like top notch studio monitors. 

Put all of this together and you've already got the makings of not only an aesthetically pleasing installation, yes, even in your lounge, but you don’t have to sacrifice any space to unsightly, large, black speaker boxes filling up your home because this installation blends in so seamlessly that your partner wouldn't even know it was there! 

The cherry on top is of course the fact that at the push of a button your screen slides out of the ceiling, the lights dim, the selection menu appears and you have to simply enjoy picking out a film which blows you away. It can be as simple as that. Every time.
